Congrats to Tim Clement and Connie Gardner on their victories at the 2008 Burning River 100 Mile Endurance Run. Unofficial results, including splits are available at the webcast web site: http://www.burningriver100.org/webcast.html. Additional information, including official finishing times, some missing splits, and other information will be posted on the Burning River 100 web site later this week.
If you completed the 100 and did not receive your buckle contact me at jurczyk @ yahoo.com. I have the names of most of the people who completed the run but did not attend the ceremonies or ask me earlier for their buckle, but I am missing a couple of the names.
Thanks to all of the volunteers and sponsors who made the race possible.
Congratulations to all of the runners! We hope you enjoyed your experience and will come back next year. The Third Annual Burning River 100 is scheduled for August 1-2, 2009.

If you’re reading this and are not running the Burning River 100 on August 2 or if you have family or friends that will be at the event on race weekend, there’s no better way to enjoy race day than by volunteering for part of the race.
By working an aid station for a few hours, or helping move supplies to aid stations, checking course markings, etc. you are helping your fellow runners, helping the race operate smoother and making the event more enjoyable for all…plus you’ll have a GREAT time!
To sign up to be a volunteer, complete this form.
Thank you and Happy trails!

As were all of you, I was very sorry to learn about the fires and subsequent cancellation of Western States. Given the unfortunate circumstances of this week, entrants who were trained and ready to go may be interested in the Burning River 100.
2008 WS100 entrants can receive a $25 discount from the standard fees ($200 if postmarked by June 30, 2008, $225 thereafter).
The discount will be in the form of a refund/rebate check presented on race weekend.
(Note: the refund is only available to entrants who signed up on June 25 or later.)
